Great acting by the lead actor and actress, this is a romantic drama that lets Erica Li (director, writer). I have watched this for probably the dozenth time on Disney+. I believe this movie is underrated and I was glad that Disney+ suggested it to me together with another Charlene Choi movie (77 Heartbreaks, also written by Erica Li).I can't help but feel that Erica is trying to say something about how men misunderstands women (and I have to agree - as a man, I do think that way) and how some women are willing to sacrifice for love, in an old fashioned way. As a man, I already see the error in using the word "sacrifice" because that is exactly what Erica is trying to convey - it is not a sacrifice from the woman's point of view.And that is what makes the romance worth it.
