Actually a fair movie...

With a staggering 3.3 rating here on IMDb, as of the very moment I sat down to watch "Lake Rockaway", I must admit that it didn't exactly instill any high hopes. And with one review giving it a 10 star rating, well... But still, since it was a horror movie that I had neither heard about nor seen, and given my love of all things horror, of course I opted to watch it and give it a fair chance.The movie's synopsis did absolutely nothing to present the movie's narrative or prepare the audience for what they were in for. Writer Joe Yung Spike, whom also directed the movie, though the movie has a guy named Joe Fitch listed as writer, director and creator, but with that being said then I will say that the storyline in the movie was actually not bad. Though it is a rather slow paced narrative.I was actually not familiar with a single actor or actress on the cast list. Not that it was a bad thing or anything, as I do enjoy watching new and unfamiliar talents on the screen whenever I sit down to watch a movie. The acting performances in the movie were fair.While this was a watchable movie, it is hardly a movie that warrants more than a single viewing.My rating of writer and director Joe Yung Spike's 2025 movie "Lake Rockaway" lands on a five out of ten stars.

LAKE ROCKAWAY IS A MUST WATCH

Wow... this movie has left me completely speechless.Informative and chilling, lake rockaway really makes you think. The ending made me and all my friends GAG! This movie is one of a kind and really brilliantly written.I still have so many questions, we need a part two immediately.Let's talk about those actors: the acting was truly phenomenal and seemed like such hard work.This is by far one of the cleanest pieces I've watched. I've watched it multiple times at this point. SEE FOR YOURSELF.

This is by far one of the worst one star films

The subject line was OK but the story, the script, the choice of actors, the acting, and every bit of it was really bad and believe me when I say it could even be classed as racially prejudiced. The victims African America!, the perpetrators African America!, the police African America!, the detective African America! I think someone just decided to get there friends together and film it without a script making it up as you go! The videography was actually not bad at all!. I am not African American but portraying the perpetrators as African America doesn't help!.Don't waste your time!, sorry but that's just my opinion!
