Plot summary

A corporate attorney quits his job at a high profile law firm to become the singer at a an old cocktail lounge called the Foxes Den, becoming deeply involved in the lives of its staff and regulars.

Boring.... uggh...

(No Spoilers)As with many a straight to iTunes release, Live at the Foxs Den fails to impress. It takes a bit more than an impressive (maybe) singing voice to bring this film alive: story line with out clichés and a believable plot for two. And though I am sure somewhere somehow a lawyer quit his job to be an lounge singer, this one does not even pass the believability test suspend my disbelief.That said, Elliot Gould was VERY convincing as the alcoholic father figure and any of the Murray brothers are fun to watch. But as a whole, wait for this one to come on late night TV.Save your cash.

Oh dear! So hopefull - so dissapointed

Director: Michael Kristoff and Writers Jack Holmes, Michael Kristoff have created a really compelling story of a successful corporate lawyer turning his back on his successful career in law to pursue his pleasure in singing very dated but, still wonderful, American Standard songs.What could go wrong? Well in this movie just about everything! First, Jackson Rathbone is obviously trained in musical theatre and not American pop singing. There is a way to sing on stage and there is a way to sing in a nightclub. Mr. Rathbone sings as if he were still on stage and not in an entertainment lounge. Plus the plot line has a tragedy every 12 minutes and it becomes a labor to watch. Not a single one of the characters was remotely believable. The piano player Chad Barrows is more comical than disturbingly emotionally broken as the character is supposed to be. By movies end you are glad that these characters have all been dispensed and you don't have to put up with them anymore!Why did I watch it? To be honest I watched this movie because it featured Elliot Gould and he is only in it briefly.
