Personal Visionary

Ethan Minsker is an artist that will make anything out of nothing and with his passion and dedication, you'll be surprised what he can make out of nothing. Minsker is an example of not only taking your craft to further lengths, but also the willingness and strength to believe in your art to keep moving forward. I'm positive there are hundreds of artist who are discourage to genuinely share their work regardless of style.However, I'm not too keen about his particular style in art but I still respect and somewhat admire it. The documentary did show off his ego a little but nonetheless it's a great help to many young artist and filmmakers such as myself to be confident with their work and to keep improving.

Unique and fun

Man in Camo is a film that was able to perfectly encapsulate the personality and spirit of its creator, Ethan Minsker. Its unique stylistic quality really helped it stand out from other other documentaries of a similar autobiographical nature. It was fascinating to hear about his life and artistic journey, and you can feel his personal creativity and punk ethos bleed through every detail of the film. Its incorporation of other forms of art and media, such as paintings, sculptures, and stop motion sequences, made it feel almost like a multimedia project. It was definitely a fun watch, and potentially inspiring for anyone interested in film or art.

Creative and intriguing but came on too strong

I thought the movie was incredibly interesting and kept your attention the entire time. The visuals were creative and fun. The animation coupled with the moving graphics made my eyes not leave the screen. I think the movie came off too strong in the beginning and was hard to adjust to the style, pace, and sounds. Once I adjusted tho, I found myself at the edge of my seat waiting for the next words and visuals since they spoke to me. The movie inspired me to get back into documenting my life and trying to bring creativity into my every day life. While this movie isn't for everyone, the story it portrays and highlights is something everyone can watch and appreciate, use as a form of inspiration.
