EXTREMELY ORDINARY MOVIE

At best an extremely ordinary movie with matching acting by everyone with Rani Mukherjee and the lady who acted as Amma being unnecessarily and overly LOUD. This film had a very ordinary script with very predictable scenarios. The police work shown was very shoddy. Rani once got a knife slash on her arm,but continued throughout the film unhurt as if it was a mosquito bite. All in all definitely not worth watching in the theater.5/10.

Performance Over Plot...

Mardaani 3 is a decent watch, but it doesn't quite live up to the impact created by its predecessors.Mardaani and Mardaani 2 set a very high benchmark in terms of storytelling, intensity, and emotional depth, and this installment falls a step short of that standard.That said, Rani Mukerji is undoubtedly the backbone of the film. She delivers one of the finest performances, once again owning the character with conviction, strength, and restraint. Her screen presence keeps the film engaging even when the narrative feels predictable.Mallika Prasad also does complete justice to her role and complements the story well, adding credibility to the proceedings.Overall, Mardaani 3 has its moments and carries a strong message, but it lacks the punch and edge that made the first two films stand out. It's a one-time watch, mainly for the performances especially Rani Mukerji but not the strongest entry in the franchise.

Rani Mukerji is Top-Notch Once Again, But The Film is Hit By Franchise Fatigue

Mardaani 3 (2026) : Movie Review -Rani Mukerji, aka Shivani Shivaji Roy, is back on duty with her trademark intensity. She arrives with a bang, fierce eyes and an iron resolve-but is that enough to keep the Mardaani franchise gripping? Sadly, the answer is no. There's some disappointing news for fans of the series. Franchise fatigue, a problem catching up with film universes worldwide, has finally reached YRF's Mardaani. After War 2, this becomes yet another underwhelming outing from a YRF franchise, though one can only hope the studio course-corrects in the future. Mardaani 3 is anchored by a top-notch performance from Rani Mukerji and a menacing antagonist played by Mallika Prasad. However, the film falters badly in its writing and execution, particularly in the second half, where coherence takes a backseat to excess.The story follows a grim racket involving poor girls being kidnapped and disappearing without a trace. Since they belong to underprivileged families, no one raises an alarm. The case only gains urgency when the daughter of an Indian ambassador is abducted. Shivani Shivaji Roy is handed the investigation, and as she digs deeper, she uncovers a horrifying pattern. Nearly 93 girls have gone missing, and no one seemed to care. Shivani cracks one layer of the operation, only to be blindsided by a second, much bigger twist. What is it? Catch the film to find out.The film moves smoothly in the first half and manages to keep you engaged. Though there are illogical moments, the narrative builds decent momentum and holds attention. The real trouble begins post-interval. The second half turns chaotic and directionless. There are simply too many twists thrown at regular intervals, almost every 15 minutes. One or two surprises would have sufficed, but the excess proves damaging. As the saying goes, too many cooks spoil the dish-and that's exactly what happens here. With a more restrained and sensible second half, Mardaani 3 could have been a fairly watchable film.Rani Mukerji once again delivers a powerful performance. Bollywood has seen many heroic male cops, but when it comes to female police characters, Shivani Roy stands tall at the very top. For the third time in a row, Rani proves she remains the finest female cop portrayal in Hindi cinema. Mallika Prasad is striking as the villain and feels genuinely dangerous in the first half, but her impact weakens as the film progresses. Vash and Shaitaan fame Janki Bodiwala is sadly underutilised in a half-baked role that doesn't do justice to her talent. There's also a surprise package in the cast that's best left undisclosed to avoid spoilers. The supporting cast, including Mikhail Yawalkar, Jaipreet Singh, Prajesh Kashyap, Jimpa Sangpo Bhutia, Sachin Negi, and others, delivers competent performances.Technically, Mardaani 3 is fairly solid. The background score and cinematography keep the film engaging, even when the narrative stumbles. Production and art design are serviceable, while the editing noticeably loses grip in the latter half. For a while, Abhiraj Minawala's direction appears convincing and promising, but things completely derail in the final quarter, ultimately making the director the film's biggest villain. Mardaani and Mardaani 2 were clear about what they wanted to explore as commercial yet hard-hitting films. Unfortunately, Mardaani 3 seems confused about its own purpose. It feels like a forced sequel-one that might just signal the end of this once-strong franchise.RATING - 4/10*
