He really knows how to work a crowd ?

I love his crowd work, it's chill, it's funny, it's spontaneous, and the Christmas theme just made it a 100% better. Absolutely loved the spirit!I think it's worth acknowledging that he doesn't mind making controversial/offensive jokes, and that it's part of the charm when we live in such an over-censored world. I know people tried to cancel him in the past over one of his stand ups. I'm glad I still watch him.

I enjoyed it...

I've only seen the 2024 show "Matt Rife: Lucid - A Crowd Work Special" from comedian Matt Rife, and actually did enjoy that show. So I opted to sit down and watch this 2025 holiday show on Netflix.Well, if you enjoyed the 2024 show, you will definitely also enjoy this 2025 show, as it is pretty much the same, for better or worse. I was adequately entertained by this show as well, and I do like the way he is capable of improvising on the spot and react to the information fed by the audience. And the way that he is capable of tying the different parts together was also quite good.The contents of the show were good, especially when taking into consideration that Matt Rife is put on the spot and has to improvise and adapt to the material provided to him by the information given by the audience participation. I had some good laughs along the way.While "Matt Rife: Unwrapped: A Christmas Crowd Work Special" was enjoyable, funny and watchable, it is hardly a show that warrants more than a single viewing.My rating of director Erik Griffin's 2025 "Matt Rife: Unwrapped: A Christmas Crowd Work Special" lands on a six out of ten stars.

It was okay, but I'm getting tired of Matt

I was shocked to see another crowd work special because I thought his first one missed the mark. Mainly because I tune in to watch the comic try to be funny, not the people who came to see the comic try to be funny. Clearly these people come with the intention of getting on and telling their stories and some of them you just can't make funny. There is no doubt that Matt does this well, maybe better than anyone, but it just isn't something I want to tune in and watch when I have so many options.
