Plot summary

An unnamed madame operates a unique peep show that caters to its customers deepest desires, fears, and sins. Tonight, it welcomes a businessman with a unique connection to an extreme fantasy website. Soon he will become a witness to three stories of victims that found the website. It’s only a matter of time before he’s made to pay the ultimate price for dabbling in the dark side of desire.

Good for those that like torture

I am not the audience for this kind of film, I like horror not torture. Having said that, I can really appreciate what this film does and how well it does it. This is, at minimum, at least as depraved as you'd expect, possibly more depraved. It's an interesting concept and the characters are engaging enough, although I got a bit confused between all the brunette women as they look so similar. The acting is good and so is the cinematography, one of the better made indie horror films. So it is well made but it is flawed and for me the biggest flaw was the writing. The pacing is a little slow, you get it well before the film gets there. I just also think it misses its audience and that the audience for this kind of film isn't there anymore. I could be wrong about that though. My favourite sections of the linked-anthology were the wraparound and the final story although I wasn't a fan of the ending. If you like Hostel (2005) and Saw (2004) kind of horror films then you'll really like this film whereas it's a bit too nasty for me to enjoy.

Is the Paint Dry Yet?

This is a pretty bad movie that is so slow, you'll be nodding off within 3 minutes. Who knew London had peep shows? I've been there a zillion times and never passed one.No worries, since the movie itself makes no sense, why should the premise? It's really coming from the dreggs of movie making.The unfolding is so convoluted I am hard-pressed to know what the over arching plot is, except that there appears to be this midnight peepshow that operates as an excuse for individual stories, all different, but appearing to be about deviant sex.Only it's boring. And absolutely none of it makes any sense.

Meh...

Right, well had I known that the 2022 movie "Midnight Peepshow" was a horror anthology, I might have skipped on it entirely. It is so rare that a horror anthology is actually fully worth sitting through.However, I had already started on watching "Midnight Peepshow" when I realized that it was a horror anthology, and I still opted to give it a fair chance.The stories in "Midnight Peepshow" were not overly great. However, they were made bearable to sit through given some adequate acting performances. So writers Andy Edwards, Airell Anthony Hayles and Jake West didn't exactly bring anything grand to the table. Semi-watchable, sure, but not overly impressive.But hey, if you enjoy sexual depravity and deviancy, then you might be in for a treat here. I can't really claim that I found that particularly interesting.I wasn't familiar with the actors and actresses on the cast list. But they had a good ensemble of talents on the cast list, and I will say that the actors and actresses actually put on a good performances, despite of the contents of the script being rather bland.The production value of "Midnight Peepshow" also helped to keep the anthology afloat.My rating of "Midnight Peepshow" lands on a four out of ten stars.
