A Masterclass in Cinematic Failure

1. Amateur Visuals and Chaotic EditingThis film is a visual disaster from start to finish. The camera work is jittery and lacks any clear focus or artistic intent. The editing chops scenes together with no regard for pacing or continuity. It genuinely feels like a student project, despite being a major studio release.2. Misogynistic CharacterisationThe female leads are treated with utter contempt by the script. They exist solely as props to be moved around by the male protagonists. There is no depth or agency to any of the women on screen. They are written as mere objects who offer zero resistance to their suitors.3. The Romanticisation of StalkingThe romantic subplot involving the rich footballer is frankly disturbing. He identifies his target and harasses her relentlessly until she submits. The film frames this predatory stalking as charming persistence. There is absolutely no chemistry to justify their eventual union.4. Narrative IncoherenceThe screenplay attempts to juggle too many storylines and drops them all. Characters appear and disappear without explanation or logical progression. The emotional beats are unearned and confusingly placed. It is impossible to care about anyone when the story lacks sense.5. Technical IncompetenceEvery scene suffers from flat, artificial "Netflix-style" lighting. There is no atmosphere or visual depth to the image whatsoever. The camera never stops moving, likely to distract from the hollow sets and outdoor shoot locations. This constant motion induces nausea rather than excitement.6. Final VerdictLove Is Everything is a gutter-tier production that insults its audience. It fails as a comedy, a romance, and a piece of cinema. The screenplay credits list four writers, two of whom are women. It is baffling that they allowed such misogynistic tropes to reach the screen. Avoid this film at all costs.

Entertaining Christmas rom-com in the style of Love Actually

This Polish production is a Christmas movie in the style of Love Actually, an ensemble cast of characters involved in smaller, interconnected stories, most of which involve romance between love interests or married couples. I'm a Christmas-movie aficionado and found this far more entertaining than most of what Hallmark puts out each year, but I wouldn't say it's anything particularly special or on par with Love Actually itself. But I would watch it again, which is saying a lot.
