Honest Opinion.

Mrityu'n'Jai is a suspense thriller with an interesting premise. The plot and characters are engaging, and the central conflict keeps the story moving. The narration manages to hold attention for most of the runtime, though the screenplay relies on several convenient elements, which slightly weaken the overall impact. The background score works well and helps maintain the tension, while the cinematography is just okay. The cast gives sincere performances, with the antagonist standing out as particularly impressive.Reba John gets a fairly substantial role, but she doesn't quite fit the character, and her performance could have been stronger.Hussain's direction, however, is not up to the mark. I expected him to bring something new and fresh to the film, but the treatment feels quite routine and outdated in many places.Production values are decent overall. If you're in the mood for an above-average thriller, this film is worth giving a try.

Overcooked!!!

Movie starts with a promising premise as Shree Vishnu chasing a disguise serial killer The cat and mouse game between them has strong individual moments, but the film fails to give proper justification to its plot, leaving several key threads feeling convenient and unearned. However, the major problem lies in the script. The killer's motives, methods, and "philosophy" are introduced dramatically but never properly explained or justified. Why does he choose these specific victims? How does he always stay two steps ahead with seemingly impossible access to information? The big revelations feel rushed and rely heavily on coincidence rather than clever logic. Several plot points are set up but dropped without real payoff or explanation. It gives the impression that the filmmakers were more interested in stylish visuals and dramatic monologues than building a tight, believable story.Final Verdict: Decent performances and atmosphere can't fully compensate for the weak plot justification and convenient storytelling. Watch it but don't expect a logically satisfying thriller.

The sound department ruined this movie for me

Mrithyunjay is a film that, unfortunately, fails to deliver a satisfying theatrical experience, despite some moments of potential. The movie is ambitious in scope, but its execution undermines the story and overall enjoyment. One of the most glaring issues is the sound design. At times, the audio is excessively loud and poorly balanced, creating a jarring experience that distracts rather than immerses the viewer. Scenes swing between normal and overwhelming volume with little warning, making it hard to stay focused or comfortable in a theater setting. The narrative itself struggles to engage. The story is convoluted and relies heavily on subtitles, which forces viewers to constantly read instead of absorbing the performances and cinematography. This dual focus diminishes the emotional impact and prevents the audience from truly connecting with the characters or the plot. While there are moments where the film settles into more coherent beats, these are fleeting and inconsistent.Performances are hindered by the film's pacing and technical issues, making it difficult to appreciate the actors' work. Cinematography occasionally shows promise, but it's overshadowed by the distraction of trying to follow along with the dialogue and action simultaneously.Ultimately, Mrithyunjay feels like a missed opportunity. Its ambitious ideas are lost in execution, with technical problems, unclear storytelling, and an overreliance on subtitles making it a frustrating watch. For those considering seeing it in theaters, it's not worth the effort, and even with earphones or earbuds, the experience remains uneven. This is a film that needed stronger direction, tighter editing, and careful sound design to truly succeed, but as it stands, it falls short of being an engaging cinematic experience.
