Plot summary

Kate Rafter is back to home after a horrific incident in war-torn Iraq and the death of her mother. While packing up her mother's belongings she comes to believe there is something strange and terrifying happening in the house next door.

nicely done budget Brit flic.

From the get go My Sister's Bones demonstrates that this is done by a competent and talented production crew and cast. The 3 or 4 main characters deliver believable performances. There is nothing in the script or dialogue that grates with the viewer, it's all quite involving. However, the tightly controlled script also prevents any real emotional involvement with any of the characters. Two thirds of the way through, you begin to wonder how the various threads are going to come together, but stay with it as it does finale with a mostly surprising last act.There are a couple of side stories and characters that seem superfluous other than to act as red herrings to the plot.Its a nice weekday evening viewing.
