Plot summary

Wealthy author Ajay Pandit befriends angry and poor Deva, who lives in the nearby slums with his widower father. After the two men grow up, Ajay falls in love with Sonali, while Deva continues to live a life of destitution.

Naaraaz a 1994 classic!

Mahesh Bhatt's 1994 film 'Naaraaz' is easily one of the most well made films of the decade gone by. An honest and powerful film. I saw this film years ago and I remember liking it a lot. Though the film flopped at the box office, I feel this film deserves a watch for the honesty its been made with. I am not Naaraaz with this old flick, I am indeed happy! Performances: Mithun Chakraborty is my favorite actor. His performance here is excellent. Pooja Bhatt is very good. Atul Agnihotri excels from start to end. Sonali is good. Gulshan Grover shines as the conniving villain. Others are also good.'Naaraaz' is a very well made flick, watch it for the honesty its made of. Thumbs up!
