All Style, No Soul And Lot of Cuss Words: O' Romeo Is a Shakespearean Tragedy for the Audience !!!

O' Romeo had every element going for it on paper - a celebrated director, a talented lead, an ensemble of strong actors, and enough hype to fill cinemas on Valentine's weekend. But the final product isn't just underwhelming... it's a frustrating misfire that squanders its potential at nearly every turn. From the outset, the film feels confused about what it wants to be. Is it a love story ? A revenge drama ? A gangland epic ? A poetic fable ? The screenplay flits between genres without any real rhythm or focus, leaving the audience adrift rather than immersed. Moments that should build tension often fall flat, while scenes meant to feel emotional feel unearned and mechanical.Shahid Kapoor is capable - there's no denying his commitment to the role - but here his performance feels underutilised and inconsistent. When forced to carry emotional weight, the character's motivations seem thin and poorly imagined. Even Triptii Dimri, one of the few lively presences on screen, can't lift the narrative out of its inertia.Visually, O' Romeo tries hard - moody cinematography, stylish frames, bold action sequences - but style never truly serves substance. The nearly three-hour runtime feels like a liability rather than a choice: thin plot threads are overstretched, songs disrupt pacing instead of enhancing it, and the second half drags without giving us anything new or compelling.Worst of all, this isn't bold filmmaking - it's indulgent filmmaking. The film wallows in bloodshed and melodrama, yet rarely earns our investment in either. Characters with promise fade into thin air, plot developments come and go with little impact, and the climax fails to deliver a satisfying emotional release. In the end, O' Romeo is a story of wasted talent: great actors, an esteemed director, and high anticipation all undone by a script that never grounds itself, pacing that never steadies, and emotional stakes that never convince. If you're looking for a cohesive narrative or a satisfying experience at the movies, this is one Valentine's date you'll regret.

Normal Bollywood Dumpster-Fire Gangster Movie

Offbeat Comedy, story with no proper flow or cinematography, hopeless romantic with no romance, scenes making almost no sense. Honestly booked this ticket because of all the big names involved can't believe they made such a high quality trash. The movie didn't make sense for most of it how Nana died and the cut scenes to Spain was just not making any logical flow.

Not expected from Vishal Bhardwaj, Bollywood in its lowest.

I went to this on its fist day of release only because Vishal Bhardwaj was director, but disappointed with movie. It was as so dumb movies that I had to leave the movie theater just before climax as I could not longer hold my patience. No storyline, events and characters are happening randomly. It seems like they just want to make movie with some flashing lights , camera and sounds. With this Bollywood seems to be in its lowest performance era.It super waste of 3 hours of your time if you really value time.
