Plot summary

This action thriller narrates the tale of Gunpowder and Timipre, two natives of Oloibiri, the town where oil was first discovered in commercial quantity in Nigeria. Gunpowder engages in violent struggle in protest to the squalid living conditions in his community despite their oil wealth; accusing Timipre’s generation of doing nothing whilst their land was exploited and plundered.

Insightful, informative and interesting

A well delivered movie sharing the history of Nigeria's environmental devastation caused by oil companies, and the effects they had small communities.Flashbacks interspersed throughout the film, give it a human touch and allows the viewer to really understand the motives of the characters. Great acting, a realistic setting and details woven together though a well written script made this informative movie enjoyable. I particularly enjoyed the character development through the insightful flashbacks, as well as the realistic way the movie shared how brutal the warlords AND oil companies were..

Not good.

It has the quality feel (acting, cinematography, and writing) akin to a cheesy soap-opera set. There are better ways to burn 2 hours.
