A bit disappointing...

Sure, I had never even heard about this 2025 movie titled "Oscar Shaw" prior to stumbling upon it here in 2026. But seeing that it had Michael Jai White on the cast list, of course I opted to check out the movie. All I knew about it, was the little information provided by the movie's synopsis.The script in the movie was a bit sluggishly paced. Not that it was a boring storyline or anything, but the pacing could have been better. Writer Don Roff did concoct a fair enough script, but the narrative had some shortcomings.The acting performances in the movie were good, no doubt about that, and there are some familiar faces on the cast list, with the likes of Michael Jai White, Isaiah Washington and Tyrese Gibson.The movie was lacking a bit in action parts, there were some, for sure, but they were few and far in between. You essentially need to venture into the last third part of the movie before it starts picking up.While "Oscar Shaw" is a watchable movie and entertaining, I have to say that it was a little bit disappointing, and there are far better crime action dramas out there.My rating of directors R. Ellis Frazier and Justin Nesbitt's 2025 movie "Oscar Shaw" lands on a five out of ten stars.

Horrible script

Just finished this movie. Starts off with great momentum. However, the script just falls off a Cliff. All of a sudden, the story starts making connections that makes no sense. The most plot driven. Events end up happening with no connection to the original story line. Without spoiling the movie. The conclusion of the movie? Just jumps. Out of nowhere. With a plot that does not follow the original story line. This is a good movie to watch if you have nothing else to do or if you want to play it in the background. But if you're looking to follow a great story, this is not it.
