Plot summary

Carlos is a professionally frustrated screenwriter, and Irene is not sure what she wants to do with her life. When Irene meets Carlos at a coffee shop, she approaches him and, although she doesn't know him, proposes to play a game.

Boy meets girl, complication ensue. . . you know the drill, but who cares? Enjoy it anyway

Wonderfully fun movie. A bit treacly? Umh, sure - it's a romantic comedy. I suspect it will become a future guilty pleasure for me. The dialogue is excellent; there were several times it had me laughing out loud - and I was watching it with subtitles. The banter between the two lead actors reminded me of "When Harry Met Sally" in pace and wit, but earthier.The actors are beautiful - he carries off a hint of gray and she has a lovely Bohemian vibe - and they have nice chemistry on screen. Nobody is perfect in the movie, and the two exes aren't completely horrible, which makes it all the more approachable.

Cute and Different

I liked that this film was different from other romance movies I have seen where the characters are not only playing a game where they are not to know too much information about each other and no phone numbers etc. like in the past but the fact they are both trying to get over someone which made this different and rather fun to watch. I did get personally distracted by the subtitles throughout and found that they were too fast at times and that I couldn't really watch the film properly as I was trying to keep up with them. However this film was really cute and I ended up smiling a lot from it.
