Highly enjoyable, moving, and tolerable for all 80 minutes! Realistic and not generic look at family dynamics after decades of perseverance over a difficult time in modern Chinese history, various mid-life crises, and artists' existential crises. All these little sparks are captured on cameras held in good hands. Glad to see that a subtitled Chinese-language film that touches upon many delicate topics can succeed as an international co-production, supported by multiple funders and institutions from around the world.

Personally I would have liked it as a 30 minute short movie but they decided to have this as a documovie. But they are actually theatre people so kinda works for them. Very personal for them, but could be very much better with same plot if they want to reboot.
