Enjoy the movie.

I watched the movie and I think it's okay. I've seen movies with higher ratings and that were terrible. Of course, the themes will always be similar because people who watch the same genre expect different scenarios. The acting is passable. The script is classic, I'd give it a 5 out of 10. Is it watchable? Yes, it is. Many films of this type are similar in terms of script, but they're not that bad. Still, thanks for your efforts. Enjoy the movie.

It was okay...

Stumbling upon this 2025 horror movie titled "Play Dead" by random chance in 2026, I must admit that the movie's cover and title initially made me stop and take notice. And the facts that I am a fan of all things horror and this being a horror movie that I hadn't already seen made me opt to sit down and give the movie a fair chance. Sure, I had no idea what I was in for, aside from the little information provided by the movie's synopsis.The storyline in the movie was fair. I mean, while writers Gonzalo Mellid and Camilo Zaffora didn't exactly revolutionize the horror genre with anything overly new or innovative here, it still proved to be an entertaining script and enjoyable horror movie to sit through.I was not familiar with a single actress or actor on the cast list; a fact that worked in favor of the movie, as I enjoy watching new and unfamiliar talents on the screen. The acting performances in "Play Dead" were good.The effects in the movie were fair. Nothing outstanding or extraordinary, but fair enough to compliment the narrative adequately.If you enjoy horror movies, and have the chance, then by all means check out "Play Dead", because it was a fairly adequate viewing experience. However, it is hardly a movie that warrants more than a single viewing.My rating of director Carlos Goitia's 2025 movie "Play Dead" lands on a five out of ten stars.
