I finished it

It took some effort but I finished this movie. It's low budget and simple but came with a big surprise midway. I can't recommend it but I can say you won't regret it if you're into fictional history. If this movie had a more budget it would've had more fans. This is definitely soft history. Some of the actors are actually amazingly good.

It's a one time watch.

No great plot twists, run of the mill, barely could call it horror really. The acting is passable for low budget.Most of the characters are just cannon fodder. You get a tiny bit of backstory on the lead but that's about it.What they'd count as a twist you can see coming a mile away. Being as the actor is barely in it up till that point.If you're on an hour and 17 minute flight and have nothing else to watch. This might just be up your alley.

Watchable Western horror...

Never having heard about the 2025 movie "Resurrection Road" prior to stumbling upon it, I still opted to watch it as it was a movie that I hadn't already seen. But I have to admit that I harbored no expectations to the movie as I had recently sat through a rather atrocious Civil War themed movie named "Storm Over Georgia".The storyline was okay. It wasn't exactly a particularly outstanding foray into the world of Western horror, but it proved to be enjoyable enough for what it turned out to be.There were three familiar faces on the cast list for me, and that was Michael Madsen, Okea Eme-Akwari and Jeff Daniel Phillips. The acting performances in the movie were generally good.The costumes and props in the movie were good, and definitely added to the overall enjoyment of the movie. The scene with the big cannons was pretty laughable, it was terrible CGI that looked like untextured graphics from a 1990s computer game.Watchable for what it was, but hardly a movie that warrants more than a single viewing.My rating of writer and director Ashley Cahill's 2025 movie "Resurrection Road" lands on a five out of ten stars.
