An entertaining whodunnit.

Classmates from Ridgeview High School, 2001, reunite for a party. The morning after the antics, the remaining guests find that their host has been shot dead.I was a little unsure; it felt a little corny early on, but as it progresses, it definitely improves and becomes an enjoyable whodunit.It blends humour, intrigue, and details the hatred and angst that would result from meeting up with people you had to go to school with.The closest thing I could think of was an episode of Family Guy, 'And Then There Were Fewer'; somehow it just felt like that goofy kind of murder mystery.I like that it didn't take itself too seriously-very much a B movie-but not one to be overlooked. I would definitely revisit this film after a while.Good performances all around, and something of a surprise in the unveiling of the killer(s).7/10.

"REUNION" REVIEW

Directed by Chris Nelson. A runtime of one hour and thirty minutes. With an R rating. You can purchase it on Prime Video.It's a high school reunion. Best friends "Ray," played by Lil Rel Howery, and "Evan West," played by Billy Magnussen, who is a cop, now plan on going together. Everyone attending has mixed emotions about going. It doesn't make things any better that the reception is at "Mathew" and "Lisa Danbury," played by Chace Crawford and Dianne Doan mansion."Mathew," who you might know from playing "The Deep" in the series "The Boys," was a tool in high school, and much hasn't changed in adulthood. He's just richer. Also attending is "Meagan Cooper," played by Cassandra Blair. "Ray" and she had a past.You also have "Vivian," played by Jillian Bell, who was labeled in high school as a future cat lady. "Jasmine Park," played by Jamie Chung, is a hopeless romantic and still looks like she's hopeless in that department. "Amanda Tanner," played by Nina Dobrev, is the class president who still has aspirations in politics but also has a hidden wild side.Even "Mr. Buckley," played by Michael Hitchcock, the drunk history teacher, is making an appearance. What they thought would be an interesting and hopefully fun night turned into a horrific one. When one of their classmates turns up dead. A handful of the reuniongoers were trapped from the previous night because of a snowstorm. These old classmates will try to solve the murder while trying not to be the killer's next victim. In this mystery comedy,."Reunion" was an okay film. Lil Rel had some of the funniest parts. You have to give it to him. He can get into his comedy bag while doing several different genres and doing it well, for that matter. Some of the cast was cool, but for the most part, it was a lackluster film. It was predictable. But like I said, Lil Rel provided the best laughs you'll get in the film.It's kind of funny because I missed my ten-year reunion. My twenty-year reunion is coming up. If I don't go to this one, I'll probably never go to another. But whether any of us are better or worse, one thing that's a consistent fact is that we're all just trying to make it in this crazy world.Overall, this was a decent comedy. Good fun

I think the score of 5 is pretty harsh, I actually thought this movie was really good.True it could have been a bit polished in certain places and packed in even more jokes, but I enjoyed it.I think Lil Rel Howery is brilliant in this, he almost reminds me of Kevin Hart, who might have been a better lead in this, just due to the fact he is such a great comedian and would have brought more laughs in.The cast is good; they're all established actors, but I can't help but feel a different cast would have made a massive difference. I like Jamie Chung, I like Nina Dobrev, but not all actors suit comedy roles.I did like the murder reveal at the end, guessed part of it, but the final reveal was a bit of a surprise.All in all, had some really good laughs, could have been better but I enjoyed it.
