This was boring...

Well, the fact that I had never even heard about this movie prior to sitting down to watch it hardly was a deterrent for me. I believe in giving all movies a fair chance. And given my love of all things horror, of course I needed no persuasion to check out this particular movie from director Robert Cuffley.Sure, I virtually had no idea what I was in for, so I suppose writer Susie Moloney had every opportunity to entertain and bedazzle me. But it turned out to be a dud. The narrative was sluggishly paced, and rather devoid of anything interesting. So it was quite a test of will to sit through the ordeal that was "Romi".I was actually not familiar with a single actor or actress on the cast list. It was a relatively small cast ensemble, though. The acting performances were fair, though nothing outstanding or noteworthy.Hardly a movie that warrants more than a single viewing, provided you can get through the suffering of watching it the first time.My rating of director Robert Cuffley's 2023 movie "Romi" lands on a generous three out of ten stars.

Lower intelligence

No pun intended - I think you can tell if artificial intelligence is not on the level Terminator has shown us will be dangerous ... that said, it does not mean that there is nothing to fear ... though mostly it is still humans we have to look out for. But back to this ... that adds another element to it all ... which I reckon is a neat thing ... and you will either like it or find it annoying - or at least not enough to push this to the right side of good and bad.Acting wise I reckon it is ok to say the least. But you have to cut it some slack to really enjoy it. I am also not sure if the title will prepare people to what this is ... on the other hand the "German" title AI may be a bit misleading too ... you'll understand why. Some good ideas for sure ... it would have been nice if it had stuck to one theme I reckon ...
