A good film about a clash of egos

It was intense and a good film about a clash of egos and a study of personalities. You don't need to be a fan of football to enjoy it and follow what was going on at the time.I wasn't sure how you could make a whole movie about this story, but Steve Coogan did an excellent job of playing Mick McCarthy and collectively they got nailed.

Anger management in football

The film Saipan,is about Roy Keane & Mick McCarthy's 2002 World Cup fallout, its critically acclaimed for its performances and from actors Steve Coogan & Hardwicke it's quite a balancing drama with some comedy and in some scenes there are aspects of which both characters actually needing anger management,It taps into the universal themes of ego and conflict between these two people though it over prioritizes emotion over strictness it's a very compelling watch even for you non football supporters , I praised its soundtrack and and it's directing, making it for me highly recommended for an Irish sports storytelling drama This is a serious and a very respectful film that focuses more on emotions .It may not appeal to viewers looking for fast-paced combat throughout, but for those interested in football history and character-driven storytelling then this is a powerful and memorable experience.

Missed opportunity

The performances are good and the attention to detail is intense. However - I get that you have to make a film and take some liberties with the real life story, but this makes so many changes that it is so different from what actually happened as to be misleading. Maybe you can get away with that normally, but when you interject real life footage, I think you are putting it forward as being at least materially accurate - which it simply isn't.It's a pity, because the real story was way more interesting.
