This documentary gives a very raw first-hand account of sex trafficking and the overall treatment of women in South Korea. It's heartbreaking to hear these young women's stories, But their stories very much need to be told.

Although many women are successful in society, It does not save them from harassment or sexual violence. This goes on at work, at home, in the army. Victims are looked at as the problem and men, as if they can do no wrong. Men abuse these young girls, then go home to their families like nothing.

Thank you for shining a light on this issue that South Korea turns a blind eye to.

Not all documentaries need big budgets behind them to succeed, and SAVE MY SEOUL is a case in point. A couple of Korean-American filmmakers head off to South Korea with their hand-held camera to shoot a documentary on a taboo subject, which is the rampant prostitution industry in that country. It's something very much hushed up and never spoken about domestically or abroad, but there's plenty to say on the subject. The two interviewees, Crystal and Esther, who are talked to extensively, both have tragic stories to tell and there are many shocking moments revealed along the way here.
