I hate seeing good guys jerked around.

There are some lovely backdrops in this Filipino film that was billed as a romantic comedy, but fails to deliver for me on both accounts. The main character, Charlie, who is the narrator of this film and she is as clueless and self absorbed as they come. She is not the most sympathetic of characters, which ultimately made this film difficult to watch.You see Charlie years ago grabbed Kurt at a dance, forcing him to play along that he was her boyfriend. They have been best friends ever since. Charlie tells this one horrible story that they did have drunken sex once but that it was terrible and they have never tried again. Charlie ends up by setting Kurt up with a lovely girl, but when things get serious between them...that is when she has the very cliched moment when she realizes that she has been in love with Kurt this whole time. Then she fakes a pregnancy with a made up guy to score alone time and a tropical vacation with Kurt.The actors and acting were fine, I just didn't appreciate a storyline in which a good friend and considerate guy who would drop everything to help out a pregnant girl gets lied to and jerked around. Also, it may be a cultural thing, but I failed to see or appreciate the humor in this film.I am afraid I can't recommend this in good conscious. This is based on watching the film in it's original language (which i believe to be togalog) with English subtitles.

Surprisingly beautiful

I started watching with the feeling of "I know what will happen" because there are a lot of cliches and the premise is that old and already seen "two friends realizing too late they always loved each other". But, surprisingly it doesn't end the way we were expecting nor the way we want to, it ends in a realistic, heartwarming and beautiful way. It's not about "love conquers all" but "friendship conquers all". Besides that it is a fun movie with some comedy but above all with beautiful characters to whom we can relate and show us how much life can hurt. I end saying that the story is the strongest point of this movie, although acting and directing isn't that bad.

Time I will never get back!

Please don't waste your time on this one. It was a revolving door of teen drama ridiculousness.The audience is led in one direction the entire film-only BAM it just stops. There isn't an ending, It's as if they ran out of money, sent all the actors home and said, "Peace out!" This was immaturity at its absolute best. You will question just how bad both the acting and writing can be in one film. Then you'll be even more disappointed (layer upon layer of disappointment.) I cannot believe I kept watching. I was hoping the ending will surly make up for this mess, but no, it just stops, like mid-sentence. Viewers are immediately searching the interwebs in an attempt to find the necessary part 2. Nope, not there either. Hard pass. Probably one of the bigger Netflix disappointments in 20 years as a customer....
