Snoopy Presents: For Auld Lang Syne was a refreshing new Peanuts animated special to me

Having missed "A Charlie Brown Christmas" for years because it was no longer on network TV (though I have the DVD), my female second cousin got a free trial for Apple TV + so I could view that again to my content. After that, it segued into this what to me was a new Peanuts special which starred Lucy as someone waiting for her grandma to arrive but gets depressed when she doesn't show up for Christmas. So to build up her spirits, she resolves to hold a New Year's Eve party for herself at a closed movie palace with help from brother Linus and Charlie Brown. I'll just now say this was quite a treat to watch as I marveled at the depiction of pretty much all the characters that were created by Charles M. Schulz being showcased even the most obscure one named Shermy! Lucy herself doesn't seem so mean as she often was to both her little brother and Charlie Brown, which is refreshing. In summary, I really liked Snoppy Presents: For Auld Lang Syne.

Really Good Peanuts Special

Snoopy Presents: For Auld Lang Syne is an amazing special. I haven't really watch the original Peanuts specials that much but this special just felt different. The voices were different from the original Peanuts and of course the animation was different. I don't remember watching Peanuts but I guess I have because I just felt like something was wrong. Besides that this is a really good special. This special has a great message. I think that the message that everyone is loved is a great theme and everyone should listen to it. I like how they focused on Lucy but I think they should have gone into the plot with Charlie Brown. There was a cool plot about Charlie Brown that they just left out. I think that they got a bit clingy to the song Auld Lang Syne. I have never even heard of it before. Is that supposed to be a New Years song? Anyway, New Years Eve is today, and if you are reading this on New Years Eve I'm saying to you happy New Years. If you are reading this and it isn't New Years, well happy New Years when it happens. In all, I give this a 7.9 out of 10.
