Plot summary

High school student Jane Shipley seeks to mend her splintering relationship with childhood best friend Merritt, and fit in with her rebellious peers. When Jane's math teacher oversteps his bounds, an apathetic high school administration forces Jane and Merritt to take matters into their own hands, driving their relationship into further turmoil and inciting deadly consequences.

No zoomers were harmed during the making of this film... unfortunately

All student and no body. We are talking zero substance. An unfortunate Harley Quinn Smith to plot ratio. Had writer-director Lee Ann Kurr done her homework on a genre she clearly knows little about and underestimates, this Gen Z slasher, which is curiously devoid of sharp objects, might not be missing the most important element of a horror flick... horror.Grade: D-

Student Awkwardness

This is the worst slasher movie I've ever watched. At first I didn't even realize that I was watching a slasher movie until 45 minutes later. I thought I was watching a regular teen movie. The killing scenes were so raw (not in a good way) and obvious, just like the plot. There was no mystery about the murderer at all. There was zero plot twist. I was hoping the main character was actually behind all the killings, but no. It was way too wild for the writer or director to make. They had to make it as simple as they can. And the acting.... Boo! None of them can act moderately, except for the guy who played as the murderer. I guess none of them has real acting skills. There's so many weak points in this movie I can poke around, it's not even fun anymore. It's like poking a dead rat.
