Shudder.

A recently bereaved, depressed, youngish widower has a series of encounters as he tries to recover from his loss. None of his interlocutors do much to advance a coherent plot. Principal among them is his enigmatic female paramour. Another is a female therapist. The former is icily, teasingly articulate. She enunciates as if she's punctiliously tonguing and osculating a microphone. It's not clear how much he can stand her. But he's puzzled if not quite tormented, including by a mysterious radio and its signal. There's no apparent rhyme or reason for that either. His therapist wants him to cut his lover out of his life - whether figuratively or literally is predictably obscure. This movie appears devoted to its main characters' aimless frustration, and conceivably to that of its audience too.

Sluggish and boring...

Now, without ever having heard about this 2025 movie titled "Stutter" from writer and director Sebastian Matthias Weißbach, I opted to sit down and watch it, as I had the opportunity to do so.However, I should have skipped on it, because this movie was a sluggishly paced dumpster fire of a movie. The storyline in the movie was not interesting, and the slow pace of the narrative didn't help promote the movie one bit.I was not familiar with the cast ensemble in the movie, which is actually something I do enjoy whenever I sit down to watch a movie. And despite the fact that the storyline was an atrocious heap of rubbish, the acting performances were fair enough."Stutter" is not a movie that makes use of any particularly noteworthy special effects. So not even that was something that the movie had to lift it up.Do yourself a huge favor and stay well clear of "Stutter". Don't waste 99 minutes of your life on watching this nonsense. Some of us suffered through this movie, literally, so you don't have to; you're quite welcome.This is not a movie that will ever finds it way back to my screen a second time, as it was a struggle enough sitting through it the first time around.My rating of "Stutter" lands on a very, very generous two out of ten stars.
