pretty atrocious

Actually, the acting wasn't entirely as bad as many on here are portraying. The lead actor and the woman who played his wife actually did alright. The big problem with this movie - other than the glaring historical accuracies, like; why was it docked in a Boston harbour during WWII when they were fighting in the Pacific theatre against the Japanese? Why would the torpedoes still be armed? How could the batteries still be charged? etc., - the problem was the script. And I don't even mean the military aspects of it either. It was laughingly atrocious, full of cheesy lines, juvenile at best. It seemed to steal lines from every bad war movie ever made, like the line where the guards at the gate to the Naval base roll their eyes and say "civilians", or when they quote the 'there's only two kinds of ships" saying, that can be found on any submarine gift-shop t-shirt. If the script had been better, this movie may have had a chance to rise above it's almost unwatchable level.

This was really boring...

Right, well I had actually never even heard about this 2015 movie prior to sitting down here in 2026 to watch it. I stumbled upon it by random chance, and opted to give it a fair chance as it was a movie that I hadn't already seen. Sure, I had virtually no idea what I was in for, and thus harbored no expectations to writer and director Georgia Hilton.I have to admit that the storyline in the movie, as written by Georgia Hilton fell entirely short of entertaining me. It was a slow paced narrative, and there just wasn't anything worthwhile or overly interesting in the script. And that made sitting through 107 minutes of this feel like torture.Of the entire cast ensemble, I was only familiar with Tim Abell. The acting performances in the movie were fair. This was a swing and a miss of a movie, and most definitely not one I would recommend you to waste your time and effort on. And it most certainly is not a movie that will ever grace my screen a second time.My rating of writer and director Georgia Hilton's 2015 movie "Subconscious" lands on a generous three out of ten stars, and that is mostly based on the production value and the acting performances.
