Canadian indie with issues

Ronnie (Grace Glowicki) is depressed and drinking excessively after losing her brother a couple of months earlier. Her friend Faye (Erin Margurite Carter) takes her on a getaway.This Canadian indie deals with some emotional issues. I also have a few issues with the execution. First, I don't like the attempted stuttering. It feels fake. Maybe Faye should do a little bit of stuttering at the beginning to set it up. Even better would be to cut it out completely. More egregious is the mud wrestling. I think that is meant to be broadly comedic. I find it awkward and jarring. The one punch is enough. The movie could have moved on. All in all, I like most of this and the two actresses.

Film for tv

Nice effort of a canadian film close to where I live. This story feels very familiar and I think I have seen it in an old french film.
