6.8/10. Recommended.

I have watched 4 movies of Hong Sang-soo. I liked them all except for his probably most famous one "On the Beach at Night Alone".As every movie of his that i've watched, it's slow to start. Still, i was interested to see where it goes. The initial vagueness of this movie cleared up and things got more interesting. Then, a major shift happened in the middle of this movie. To be honest, i wouldn't have understood it if i had not read this review by IMDB user "philosopherjack". I would advise to read this review if it's possible, when this shift is happening. There are some brilliant ideas here but they are not well capitalized on and explored. Movie is not ambiguous if you understand what happened but i would like some enrichment. In any case, if you like arthouse dramedy/romances, you will like this as well.

Beautifully attuned to art/life paradoxes
