It was not outstanding...

Given my love of all things horror, of course I needed no persuasion to sit down and watch the 2025 movie "The Arborist". Sure, I had never even heard about it, and thus had virtually no idea what I was in for, aside from the sparse information provided by the movie's synopsis."The Arborist" failed to properly entertain me. Not that it was a downright bad movie, but I found the storyline to be bland and slow paced, and I sort of gradually zoned out as the movie trotted on and on, until it eventually became a mere background playing movie.The fact that I wasn't familiar with a single actor or actress on the cast list was something that worked in favor of the movie. The acting performances in the movie were good.Perhaps "The Arborist" will be more entertaining and pleasing to newcomers to the horror genre, because as a seasoned horror veteran with 40+ years of watching horror movies, I found it to be bland. Check it out, if you enjoy horror movies, perhaps you will find more entertainment in it than I did. This is hardly a movie that I will ever pick up a second time.My rating of writer and director Andrew Mudge's 2025 movie "The Arborist" lands on a four out of ten stars.
