Hilarious

I think ChatGPT wrote the dialogue for this movie (not necessarily a bad thing). The lead actress wore the same red pants two days in a row. Also, boring. Stiff dialogue. Very awkward scenes with no chemistry. Shoe string budget for sure. Plan to point at the screen and talk to your tv while watching. I laughed a lot.

Not good

Some movies turn you off to them with some character or incident which makes you want to give them the lowest score possible. That is not this movie. There was not just one thing, or even a few that made this movie bad. It was all just: not good.The story is slow with no highs or lows or surprises, but not terrible. The acting is almost universally poor but again not terrible. The scenes after Sam leaves are overplayed as being sad. The dialogue is not great. The sets are simple. There isn't a lot of chemistry with the leads.

Wooden

5.7 stars.I will watch any Christmas movie once and will continue with it until I can't. In this case I got through about 15 minutes, and as I customarily do, I fast forwarded to the last 15 minutes. I have to see the end, because that's usually the best part, and if I'm going to invest time in a film, I should be reimbursed for it.This has many cons, but the main ones are wooden and stilted acting, inept editing, lack of flow, tedious dialogue...which equals b rated.The pros: the main actress is very pretty and somewhat capable of acting. I'd like to see her in more stuff, with a better script and production value. The lead male is usually good, but he needs out of this rut, his latest few films aren't great.I won't be revisiting 'The Christmas Mixer' again. I'm noticing a pattern, which is that Hallmark is the only safe bet, and perhaps UP or GAF on rare occasions, but 'The Christmas Mixer' didn't air on any of these.
