Barely Cyberpunk and Gratuitous but...

The Fire Raven is a Cyberpunk psychological police detective thriller with Horror elements that focus more on shock factor reveals and gratuitous gore than anything else. The Cyberpunk elements of which only seemed to exist in the protagonist prosthetics and the opening shots and the first murder case before being changed to low budget areas that looked indistinguishable from today locations. The mystery solving elements fall under the bracket of the protagonist using his powers to give him a cheat sheet to magically solve cases and pursue suspects in a snap of his mind than any actual sleuthing. Unlike similar gimmicks used in mystery games, it being a movie makes the cases feel far too quick and story beats predictable or outright random and things feel far too easy for the protagonist to solve leads that stump entire police forces.Despite the films advertising and summary about Hell being empty and all the devil's run amok with society being reduced into some Hell Island teasing some level of supernatural elements. At most it only involves a small number of secret society types and unexplained Crow ex Machina randomly appearing without explanation to make it look cooler or bail the heroes and villains out.Graphics and sound are excellent as well as the tension but is ruined by shaky character development that gets thrown out the window whenever the plot demands a new twist villain to extend the run time or shower in more gore. Fighting scenes are intense and well choreographed but suffers from characters magically being unable to defeat a single person to ripping through scores of armed goons in seconds or making bafflingly bad decisions for drama.
