Extremely juvenile writing but otherwise well executed.

When I was watching this I was absolutely convinced that the script had to have been written by one of the teenage girls who starred in it... maybe one of them won a screenwriting contest? It truly feels like it was written from the point of view of a teenager observing adults. But NO... it was written by an adult man. OOOF.Other than the STRANGE dialogue and behavior of the characters the film was actually pretty well executed and I enjoyed watching it. Technically well done and a fun enough watching experience... just hampered by what I can only call juvenile writing. Watch it and I think you'll see what I mean. Oh and the twist isn't a twist when you can predict it 5 minutes in to the movie...

The Fostered may start off like a typical thriller. But in reality, it's a socially conscious film that poses important questions. The twin girls brought in from foster care are wrapped in silence, carrying invisible wounds. The foster parents who take them in seem like a stable, ordinary couple at first. But tension simmers beneath the surface of their relationship. As they struggle to become a family, the film begins to ask: What does it really mean to be one?The characters' fears, pain, and suppressed emotions gradually come to light, and the tension slowly builds. Can trust be formed? Or will everything fall apart? An indescribable sense of unease lingers throughout. The boundary between reality and illusion blurs, leaving the viewer with the feeling of drifting through a waking dream. And the presence of the twin girls, shaped by a traumatic past, leaves an even stronger impression. The film's restrained direction and emotionally raw performances ground the story in a chilling realism. While maintaining the tension of a thriller, the film uses minimal dialogue, delicate details, and a tightly drawn atmosphere to say so much. It's crafted in a way that speaks directly to the viewer's imagination and emotional sensitivity. The Fostered is not just a suspense story. It's a portrayal of how we face and attempt to heal the wounds we carry.Even toward the end, the sense of unease remains- and the film leaves a deep, lasting impression.
