Hardcore again

The Good Things Devils Do (2020) is a nice attempt to bring some hard core back to #thehorror. It brings in legendary genre actors Oberst, Quigley abd Hodder to show its dedication to doing it right. And the production values show it - GREAT costuming/effects on the key baddies, intricate set design on the Halloween neighborhood, a really magical trailer to draw the fans in. But the mastery stopa there. Or maybe it was the money ran out. Either way the plot is fine but the scripting and dialogue dont hold up.But to look at what they got right: having the antagonistic slutty stepdaughter be a 40 year old who simply wont leave homethe competitive home decorater who is slipping real life relics into his yardhaving the neighborhood not know that a real demon is on the slaughter-having the killer really shoot children, thus ramping up the intensity great costuming/special effects withDark red/black blood and great drip -cool indecipherable demon languageBut at the end, it turns in another reflection on parenting issues including those not readily solved by asking Alexa to pick an appropriate song for your daughter.

B as bad

Too many good reviews I guess, just had to destroy the partyThis is a low budget trash movie without feeling and charm, no story , bad effects and dont even get me start with the acting , some joker wrote a review here when he thought this reminded him of the 80is and I guess its true, has alot of evil dead flirting, but not in a good way , its not helpingThis is just not a good movie, and I went bored even when its action, trying to find something on the plus side but its not much, one girl looked good and I think thats it then , lets give her 2 stars and then lets forgett this garbage movie.
