Well it's the best thing on Netflix in a age

If I was to describe this it's lethal weapon with a bit of bullet and some 007 just for good measure not forgetting also The Sweeney from the 70's it's a old story but it still works today the whole 90 minutes fly by there's laughter tears and a few wtf it's a whole lot of fun it's a 8 from me enjoy.

ok in the second half

I wont say this film is boring but it certainly feels very drawn out at times despite this film not being really long. A young girl gets in a car accident that sadly kills her mother later in hospital. Two men appear one of which might be her dad. She confronts the guy responsible for the crash and his mother sends bad people to kill them. After the crash theres just a lot of talking and not much happening and its really only in the second half of this film where we get a pretty decent car chase, but unfortunately not enough to save this film from being very mid.

This film has some major struggles

The Orphans is a foreign action adventure that follows a group of orphaned adults and children navigating life together, but despite its promising premise, it struggles to feel cohesive. While the film is packed with action sequences and moments designed to keep viewers engaged, there is a noticeable disconnect between the spectacle and the story it's trying to tell. Instead of flowing naturally, the narrative often feels carefully mapped out, almost overly structured, which takes away from any sense of authenticity. The storyline attempts to balance emotional depth with high stakes adventure, yet it never quite commits to either. Scenes unfold in a way that feels safe rather than daring, as if the filmmakers avoided risks that might have made the film more dynamic. The emotional beats lack resonance because the characters' journeys don't always align with the larger narrative arc, making it difficult to fully invest. The director does manage to stage the action competently. Fight scenes and chase moments are constructed with clarity, preventing the film from completely losing momentum. However, even these sequences feel calculated rather than organic, reinforcing the sense that everything is planned instead of naturally unfolding.Ultimately, The Orphans is a one time watch. It's not poorly made, but it lacks the theatrical energy and emotional spontaneity that would make it memorable. While it may satisfy viewers looking for straightforward action, it doesn't leave a lasting impression or invite a return visit.
