Plot summary

A straight-laced bank manager is about to marry the love of his life. When his bank is held up by infamous Ghost Bandits during his wedding week, he believes his future in-laws who just arrived in town, are the infamous Out-Laws.

Enjoyable comedy

This movie was definitely not the best of 2023, not close to the best comedies out there, but it was enjoyable. This is a perfect family movie. No nudity or anything like that.A good movie these days is a rare thing, especially comedies.Its obviously low budget but that's why I rated it only a 6. A lot of room for improvement here and a bit goofy. But it kept me entertained all the way through, and that's what matters.There's just one issue which I don't get it, maybe a plot hole towards the end, I don't want to give spoilers but that didn't make sense. Otherwise very good comedy. But I guess sometimes you just have to realize its a movie, just to have fun, and not think so seriously about it.Acting was alright, pace was fantastic, never a dull moment.

Run of the mill-Low Comedy-Ok movie

I don't know what's going on with movies lately but why are they so dumbed down? Like the crude humor? The unnecessary cussing. I don't get it. Comedies like American Pie, Superbad, and Easy A seem to be a thing of the past. Instead of using humor, crudeness and all in funny ways, now we just do and say random stuff that no human would actually do or say. I don't know who's in the writers room and if these are older people thinking they are hip and cool by writing this dialogue but it's really weird. Aside from the trailer giving it away, it was clear from the beginning who the robbers were. I think most of the actors were good, and did ok with what they were given. Sad to see the actor who played Tyree play such an over the top caricature instead of a character more real like in get out. Comedy just isn't hitting the same way. Maybe gen z thinks this is funny but as a millennial it missed the mark.

Why does this movie exist

Please someone tell me why Adam Devine keeps getting worrk. His gimmick is his over-the-top antics, facial gestures, screams and just a complete caricuature of an idiot. He can be okay in one-minute scenes here and there, but having him lead a move is frustrating and burdensome. Imagine a move about Cartman, everything would get old quick.Having decent actors like Ellen Barkin and Peirce Brosnan who do not overplay their roles only makes Adam Devine more awkard when he is on screen with them.This is a comedy and I never once laughed. I smile once with a psuedo fourth wall break when a statement was made about the best James Bond. And that was it. Not funny, not dramatic, not action, nothing.
