Surprisingly good...

Never having heard about this 2022 movie titled "The Prank", as I stumbled upon it here in 2026. But since it was a movie that I hadn't already seen, of course I opted to give it a fair chance.Writers Rebecca Flinn-White and Zak White put together a rather enjoyable script and storyline. It is a narrative that quickly spirals out of control for Ben Palmer (played by Connor Kalopsis) and Mei Tanner (played by Ramona Young), which actually very easily can be drawn very real life associations to. So there were layers to the narrative that transcended mere entertainment.There were two familiar faces on the cast list for me, and that was Keith David and Ramona Young. The acting performances in "The Prank" were surprisingly good. Actress Rita Moreno, playing Mrs. Wheeler, really carried the movie quite nicely.This was a nice surprise of a movie, and it definitely is a movie that is well-worth taking the time to sit down and watch. I was genuinely entertained and surprised with this movie, and have to say that I am glad that I opted to sit down and watch it.My rating of director Maureen Bharoocha's 2022 movie "The Prank" lands on a six out of ten stars.
