too much self-cest for me

I won't lie, this film certainly had its moments. At times i found a lot of the jokes and physical comedy hysterical. I also thought that Danny Trejo and Joel McHale were great in it, despite them having smaller roles. However, there was one thing I couldn't get behind. A thing that was a recurring joke. That being said, selfcest jokes. If you don't know what self-cest is, it's when a character falls in love with a version of themselves, whether it be a clone, a doppleganger, a version of yourself from the future, etc. The Loki series is a good example of this. I couldn't even handle that, and they were played by different actors. This film has the same trope, only it is quite literally the same actor flirting with himself, essentially. It made me uncomfortable. I just think that self-cest is like a narcissistic final boss. Anyway, I don't think that this movie was the worst, but I do think that it had a lot going on and a lot of unnecessary gimmicks. If self-cest doesn't bother you, you will likely enjoy this film. It is certainly filled to the brim with comedy.

The short was better

The core of this movie and the short is the same. A tight 16 minutes has been streeeeeetch out for essentially the same plot points but with a going nowhere podcast, a director hitman insert with such bad acting I almost shut the movie of.A literal circle jerk was the one extra laugh this got from me, a cheap one.I wanted more, got less.
