Mission accomplished

At the begging it feels like this film won't accomplish what a horror movie fan expects what's supposed to be achieved, nevertheless it progressively becomes immersive in the central stage atmosphere. A different moments it gives the sense of usual elements being used, but as the story develops, it plays well on the sequence of events delivering an interesting while thrilling turn of events keeping tension as it comes to a good unexpected ending.

Not bad for a first try

The movie is a collection of cliches, which for such a sophisticated (podcast script) writer as Olallo Rubio, feels quite disappointing. However, the sound design, the honest performance of Natalia Soliàn, and the shortness of the movie, allow for it to be an interesting experience. Even though it felt for me as a high budget university project, I thought I was going to hate it and I didn't, so I guess that's a win. :)

Worth a Look

I wasn't sure what to expect from this one. There have been some great Spanish language horror movies recently, so I had high hopes. The basic story is a female security guard gets sent to cover a morgue at the last minute. On the way she hits, and kills a pedestrian. I don't think this is a spoiler, as it happens in the first minutes of the film. On arriving at the morgue, all sorts of spooky things start happening when she is left alone. There is nothing ground breaking here and it does cover a lot of the horror movie tropes, but it was well acted and quite suspenseful, if a bit predictable. The minimal dialogue did help the suspense, and an added bonus as it is a Spanish dialogue movie, so very little reading required. All in all a solid effort, but could have been better.
