Now that's a big reveal

I thought I had some idea of the world of wildlife but this film really pulled back the curtain for me!An incredible journey of some passionate people, fighting to protect an animal they love, but I never expected them to unearth such a surprising threat. My heart was pounding as I routed for them all the way through, and my jaw hit the floor on multiple occasions through the twists and turns. You may think it's some niche film about an isolated incident, but the revelations here are going to shake the foundations of a whole industry we never knew existed! A must watch for anyone interested in the world of wildlife, don't miss this one!

The most riveting and important films of 2025

From the spectacular cinematography, deeply relatable characters and a story line that keeps you on the edge of your seat, this Doc is incredible. With a twist that rivals and Hollywood script, this film will live with you for months after watching and will drive you to tell your friends.Directed by the industry pro, Abraham Joffe, trade secret dives into the murky world of "legal" (used loosely) trade of animals and uncovers a truth that was hiding in plain sight and will shock you to the core. A strong lesson about not believing what you initially see and always question and investigate even the most trusted of organisations.Bravo to the whole team that created this masterpiece.

Think twice about who you trust

I expected an environmental story, but what unfolded was truly eye-opening!The cinematography is fascinating. Every scene, from hidden recordings and Arctic views to conversations with Indigenous people. What really makes this film stand out is how it gradually reveals uncomfortable truths. And it leaves you thinking long after it.I live in a small country where the fight to protect wildlife is often lost to a lack of funding, education, or political will. But discovering that some of the world's most developed nations and "respected" institutions enable harmful practices was shocking. Some documentaries have changed the way I see the world, and this is one of them. You'll think twice about who you trust.
