middle too slow

Emma (Jenna Michno) is driving through southern Texas as a tornadic storm bears down on her. She is running from her abusive boyfriend. Her tire goes flat. She is stranded as the storm approaches. With no other choice, she drives to the nearby farmhouse. She is rescued by Jack (Gabriel Pranter), but he has a screw loose.This is a Lifetime thriller. I'm buying the first fifteen minutes. It helps that he's pretty cute and girls go for the farmer type. As soon as he stops her from leaving the house, that is the first big red flag. To be fair, she is looking around like she knows that it's a red flag. I am surprised that he would let her go. Sometimes, the movie likes to let go of the tension in order to build it back up. She's better off going into the storm for her sakes and for the sake of the story. She could crash her car and Jack could bring her back to the farm. That's probably a better move. We're just trapped in the farmhouse for too long with nothing to do. The writing is not good enough to withstand that. I also have an issue with the deputy. She would never turn her back on him and would definitely radio in her position. There is a great reveal which should be pushed up. That would give more time with Kylie. This is a rather marginal standard woman-in-trouble Lifetime movie.

Twister

Sydney Agudong is one of the stars of Trapped in the Farmhouse, and in this Lifetime movie with thrills and shocks and some special effects, Agudong plays Kylie. In some ways this movie is timely especially in light of the release of Twisters recently. Anyway, I know it's fashionable to trash Lifetime movies but they are what they are, and all credit goes to the director, writers, producers, the casting team, everyone else. Anyway, at the end the demise of Jack (played by Gabriel Pranter) isn't shown on-screen, but I was kind of expecting a power pole to strike through his belly like what happened to Eddie (Zach Grenier) in Twister.

Really Now, this movie had more Red Flags that went ignored

The script writing was super weak and full of obvious gaps in common sense. From the very start of this movie I felt the "Yes it is going to be typical SOS different day routine" with a female protagonist who fails to see multiple Red Flags from Jack. IE, not allowing her to retrieved her cell phone was a big one. And what's up with these characters moving at turtle speed, like when Emma was investigating the noise she heard from the attic??? Or falling for those weak excuses of old houses making the noise of someone's voice.I got so fed up with the nonsense half-way through that I fast forwarded this to the end which still was stupid with these women trying to evade Jack, but will stop long enough for Jack to spy them as they are trying to get to the storm shelter.Like I said, Same Old tired routine, different day with law enforcement being inept with the sheriff getting killed by a weird psycho and her body not being found until the end.Hardly a tyhriller and more like "How many stupid mistakes can I make and still survive this dumb poorly written movie.
