Alex Cooper is raised Mormon and makes the mistake of telling her parents she is gay. The story reveals the abuse Alex must endure to change her from being gay and going straight again. The abusers are a Mormon couple who use a radical form of conversion that includes Alex wearing a backpack full of rocks. At the end of the story we learn that she had to endure 8 months of abuse. The ending credits provide information that such an extreme conversion process is going on today.
