Plot summary

Melissa learns that her new husband Kevin is a philanderer with no ambition. The two become roommates from hell while Kevin remains in the house until the divorce is finalized, but when he turns up dead, all eyes are on Melissa.

Hysterical!

If you are lucky enough to live in a state where cannibis is legal, then this is the movie to see. Get completely wasted and watch it. If you don't have weed available then down a couple of shots of hard liquor first. Whatever you do, don't watch it sober.The script seems like it was written in a book of Mad Libs. The characters are so weak it is pathetic. I had to keep reminding myself the the lead woman character was a professional who owned her own company. She should have had the word "Needy" tattooed on her person.How nobody spotted the leading man as a maniac is the real mystery.All the characters needed mental help. The neighbors needed straight jackets.

What?

Where was the original plot of the movie? Okay like I get the set up and I really wanted it to work because the premise was interesting. However, nothing really went anywhere! Every plot line that was introduced just... stopped. First she was friends with Laura and then they hated each other? The bookie coming and going only twice randomly? Why didn't ole girl report the woman who was murdered like you think that would be a key piece of evidence. It should have been called "trapped with my husband, but we have no real plot so let's just stretch it for as long as it can go." Like seriously...what even was that movie? XD I did watch until the end however so a wavering 3 stars.

A Marriage Made in Hell

When Melissa first met Kevin Davrow, it appeared as though she found her knight in shining armor. Kevin rescued Melissa from a potential mugging in a parking garage. Unfortunately, it was all a ruse as Kevin had paid to have the scene staged. But Melissa was smitten, and within a short period, she became Mrs. Kevin Davrow.Then, the nightmare began.The film was successful in developing the tug-of-war between husband and wife in a marriage made in hell. Kevin runs up gambling debts in excess of $300,000, and he feels it is Melissa's duty to sell her successful fashion business to pay off his bookie. But he had not counted on his wife's resilience and stubbornness.It may have been a stretch to think that Melissa would continue to live in the same house with Kevin after he refused to leave and her divorce attorney indicated the divorce would take time. After all, this was a man capable of murder. It was even more outlandish that Melissa would walk into a neighbor's house to have a confrontation with the individual she suspects was a murderer.But the strength of the film was in the crisp dialogue and interesting characters. Melissa has a good support team in her colleagues Cameron and Mary Ann. Above all, she has the backbone to cope with an intolerable marriage and the wherewithal to discover the truth about her slimebag of a husband.
