I live near where this takes place. This could have been so moving. As a story about a family and community dealing with change and relocation it would have been fantastic. Expression through art and music. What the movie gives us is almost no narrative, a meandering view into a life but no substantial dialogue. The first fifteen you wonder what the subject is even about. This should have been so much more.The headline is a girl who is distant from her mom, and shows the family but little interaction with them. Why bother showing it then. There is talk about how they will be moved for the new community but beyond a few shots we don't see anything.
