it was quite a surprise

I'm not usually fond of this kind of movies, but I ended up really enjoying it. The plot is simple yet surprisingly engaging, and the characters feel grounded and relatable in a way that pulls you in without trying too hard. It's one of those films that, almost without noticing, puts you in a good mood and makes you care. Definitely a must-watch for a cozy Saturday night, especially if you're looking for something warm, relaxing, and unexpectedly charming.

Predictable, boring

Was excited to watch this, as I love Andy Garcia & Toni Collette. So disappointed!! The plot was extremely predictable, the acting was pretty awful, the movie seemed to drag on forever... just an overall miss. Don't get me wrong, I watched this thinking "oh, a basic, no brainer rom-com" so I didn't think it was going to be great, just didn't think it was going to be so painful. Only have it a 4 because of Toni & Andy.

Self referential claptrap.

The writing and staging of this standard double couple romcom is as bad as the writing of the male protagonist (a romance writer who can write romance novels).Nothing in this movie is convincing.Come to think of it, the cuckolded writer going to Portugal and falling in love with his housekeeper was a similar story much better told in Love Actually.
