Losing your sight but finding your soul...

Just because you lose your sight as a filmmaker doesn't mean you stop being an artist, and Evans' film is an incredible and visionary journey into what it means to find your voice and artistic vision even under the most challenging circumstances. Saw this film in Chicago at Facets with filmmaker Evans in attendance, and what I was blown away by was how the editing and sound design in the film really conveyed his interior emotional struggle. Can't recommend the film more for anyone who wants to reframe how we see the value and worth of the artist gifts visually impaired artists contribute to the world and our knowledge of what it means to be human.
