Bittersweet

Having enjoyed the dance music scene in my early 20s during its early surge in popularity in Europe this doc was super interesting as it gets to the heart of how the explosion happened and why. Then you get to see the parallels between what was going on in the world and the appeal of the counterculture, underground scene that sadly, as the doc shows, evolved into something, while still fun and enjoyed by millions, became exceedingly corporate and exploited, losing a lot of its original charm.. but that's the cycle of culture and fashion I guess. The doc is a bit of an encapsulation of popular culture's journey from the late 90s until now and how music, and its consumption, has evolved... The doc also features some zany, out of touch, characters who say some truly remarkable, and at times humorous, ridiculous, things about themselves and the scene that are definitely worth hearing.

Party to the Soundtrack!

This doc def captures the essence of the DJ phenomenon. The high-def visuals and powerful soundtrack create an immersive experience. It's a totally captivating look into the global dance music movement. I loved watching the compelling interviews with legendary pioneers like Carl Cox and Oakenfold alongside today's rising stars.

Fun Ride

Visually fun to watch. Makes you feel like you're there. You see how people fell in love with the music and the scene. Includes some great history even I didn't know. Definitely captures a musical and cultural movement seemingly teetering at its peek. Even if you don't like this music or know any of the DJ's, it's a fun watch.
