Plot summary

A story of survival about a woman's first night in a Soviet prison camp. After committing a crime to protect her son, Anastasia is sentenced to 12 years in a Soviet prison camp. Her arrival upsets the balance between the inmates. In a night of backstabbing and shifting alliances, she must find a way to escape and discover the hidden truth of her survival.

Unexpectadly underrated

I wasn't expecting such an underrated work. But I do not recommend to the typical viewer. This is more for those who like the classics.The dialog was poetic and unrealistic, yet it was what it needed to be. The camera shots were nice but not remarkable, still they were able to convey the feeling of the environment.The story is tragic, and the representation was powerful. I loved the way that broken people gripped to live, even knowing that there was nothing to live for.I didn't like the ending because it felt unnecessary. But it might have been used, a suggestion that everyone that have been there have suffered the same.
