Christmas Is At Risk!

Wait! That's a different eight hundred thousand movies. In this sequel to WIENER DOG NATIONALS, the dog and family are supposed to go to Japan for the World event. However, dad is planning to propose to his unseen girlfriend, and so none of them may. Except the youngsters go anyway, where they encounter Morgan Fairchild, who wants her dog to represent the US, and some nice-seeming Japanese competitors who are not that nice. Plus dad notices they're missing and shows up to put the kibosh on the whole thing.It's one of those movies which seem to think that the premise is so hilarious that nothing more be done in the way of jokes, but we do need dramatic tension, so let's add in cloning and wily Orientals. The youngsters can't raise much in the way of performances, Bryan Batt, as the judge overacts, and the dogs seem mildly confused.I suppose that's because no one takes the actual sport of dachshund racing seriously, not even the competitors. That's despite Wikipedia calling it "popular but controversial." Dachshunds are not built for speed, and the races are typically chaotic affairs, with the dogs in silly costumes spending more time socializing than trying to reach the finish line. I can see the kids obsessing over it. Kids do stuff like that. But unless you're a dachshund enthusiast -- and there are a lot of them in my neighborhood -- this won't be for you.

A good family movie with tons of adorable wiener dogs!

I thought this was a cute family movie especially for the kids. The movie itself doesn't take itself too serious, it's just good clean fun. And come on this movie is loaded with the most adorable wiener dogs you'll ever see especially when they're dressed up competing for their countries.. adorable!

The story is about Shelly Jack who represents the USA and is the heavy favorite to win the International competition. Morgan Fairchild plays Miss Merryweather who has secretly cloned Shelly Jack so she can win the race. And may I say how great Morgan Fairchild looks, beautiful as ever. She plays an excellent villain. Brian Batt is very good as judge Brown, he was funny bringing that comedic relief and also helping the Jack kids along the way. Both Jack kids are very good, I enjoyed their roles along with their older brother. The entire story is pretty good.

So if your a dog lover and have children, this is a must watch!
