Might easily be the lowest point of her career

Sad. She is getting old, trying to be as tough as she was some 25 years ago. She is way beyond those years; the baby face is gone for good. Additionally, it's a low-budget British-directed project, which suffers as a result. Weird, as I watched it yesterday, I can barely recall what happened. I had to watch the trailer to remind me. And her voice: like a smoke-to-death, constant whiskey drinker heavyweight. Deeply disillusioning. Avoid this one if you have fond memories of Kate.

Yes, yes, British action film, la di da. Boom Boom. Everything's fine; unfortunately, everything's also rather average. What bothered me about the whole film was the mask-like face of the leading actress. What on earth happened there? In several scenes, Kate is almost unrecognizable.Yeah, yeah, mean reviewer. Sexist. What could have happened? Life happens. People get older, women too. Everyone is free to optimize their body as they wish. Yes, that's true. That's what makes these lines so ambivalent. The film business is tough. Especially on women. True. Unfortunately.I want to see tough women in movies. A female version of Liam Neeson. With wrinkles and an unadulterated face! Hollywood, or rather the film- and television-business, is sexist anyway - through and through. We - the audience - have to counteract that. For me, this film is another personal warning sign of how business drives beautiful people in the wrong direction. Wildcat makes me sad.I would like to apologize for the rather subjective criticism. But the film affected me deeply. I was almost a little shocked. But not by the plot or the film itself.

Just so tired

It was borderline parody of better movies they should have just run with it and made a comedy, it was close just changing the tone would have done it.Instead every action, theme, plot point and utterance from an actor reminds me of vastly better films and series.I only managed the first 20 minutes before it became too much, then the needless flashback to explain why and how she is actually a good person when there was no need. The action sequences are the bloodless Disney type violence with no blood or effort, lots of guns but nobody really gets shot or we see the effects of been shot.Beckinsale performance just does not fit the part, which I think is down to the directing and an insanely superficial script.I think it possible they applied enough makeup to her they might have blown the budget, or there is something strange happening. She is 51 the part could have easily kept her at her real age and be a better movie. She is the only reason I even watched it but she is just so boring in this. All the actors are sleep walking through this I think they are as bored as the director. The script just sucks and sucks bad.
